It is! It’s my firm belief that you can make anything erotic with the right care and attention to detail – and a character who’s really into something. Honestly, the amount of kinks I have given myself through writing is staggering! (Believe it or not, after writing this, I found that my shoe cleaning equipment really needed some upgrades 😉 ). But yes. Poor June.

Thank you so much! It’s so important for me that the characters feel real, and that the story moves from within the characters, and not moves them from plot point to plot point (or sex position) like chess pieces. So, yeah, you just made me very happy!

And I love how one would (or at least *I*, with my very superficial and limited knowledge on the subject of BDSM stories, would) expect something different. A very confident man leading some naive young girl into the world of BDSM. And yeah, on the surface you have the succesful businessman and the naive schoolgirl in her flowery dress… but when we read the story, we get so much more than that stereotype. JUNE is the one who brings up this subject, and Drake is the one who kind of just goes with the flow. In my opinion this flip on the trope is a brilliant idea and it works really well.

Also, these characters are so much more than the enbodiment of some tropes. When I read the story, I feel like I could be either of them. They feel real. When I read Chocker of Lace I don’t feel like I’m reading a BDSM story where the writer tries to tick things off of a list in order to fulfill some kind of expectations and the characters are secondary, when I read CoL I feel like I’m reading a story that is about two very interesting people, and that sory also happens to involve BDSM. Nothing feels forced, everything that happens comes from the characters.

This makes me so happy, Mel! Knowing that I’m not the only one excited for this story helps keeping the motivation up!
